the cast for my film would look like this. Hamlet- Luke Skywalker King Claudius- Darth vader Queen Gertrude- Padme Ophelia- Leia Laertes- Jango Fett Polonius- Yoda Horatio- jewbacca Rosencrantz & Guildenstern- Han Solo and Lando The Ghost- obi wan kunobi I would pick these characters because, in my opinion, Hamlet doesn't make sense anyways. the new setting would be in a galaxy far, far away kind of like star wars. It will take place mostly in space, but it will also take place on some planets that have not been destroyed by a floating space station. This will help add that sci-fi feeling almost like Star Wars. The time period will be in the not-to-distant future; whenever light-sabers were invented (I'm sure some genius is about to create one somewhere). Costumes will be very similar to those star wars movies. For example, Darth Vader will wear all black with a cape and helmet. This should help make the movie more mysterious. Everyone will speak in regular english because I personally don't like old english. except for Yoda. He's going to speak like that little, awesome green guy from Star Wars. Additional elements would include those one high-tech sword devices that have lasers come out of them when you push a button. And this is what my version of Hamlet would be like.
